FEDEX: Drop the NRA

Tell FedEx to end their partnership with the gun lobby!

Thank You.

We've brought bold tactics to campaigns before. We've directly called out the NRA's blood money, and flown a banner over Lockton's corporate headquarters demanding they cut ties with the gun lobby. The next step in this campaign is bold too. Contribute today and help us get there.

About this Campaign

FedEx is still a giving discounts to members of the National Rifle Association’s Business Alliance, granting discounts up to 26% for members and funding a reckless and irresponsible pro-gun agenda that puts all Americans at risk.

Tell FedEx to end discounts for members of the NRA’s Business Alliance and stop supporting an organization that uses race-baiting and manufactured fear to generate profit and block common-sense gun control measures. And tell them that until they do, they won’t be getting your business.

The National Rifle Association accepts millions of dollars from gun manufacturers every year to advance an extremist pro-gun agenda, including eliminating gun-free zones, at schools and houses of worship, gutting criminal background checks for gun sales, and allowing open carrying of loaded guns in all public places. While the NRA’s Washington lobbyists scheme to weaken gun laws and increase gun sales with scare tactics, they ignore the will of their own members, who overwhelmingly support stricter gun laws.

They even promote laws like ‘Stand your Ground’ that make it easier to get away with murder and, up until just days ago, they sold Carry Guard murder insurance. Similar to ‘Stand your Ground’ laws, this murder insurance allowed gun owners to shoot innocent people based only on alleged fear and bias. It would even buy them a new gun. As a result of the advocacy efforts of over 100,000 Guns Down and Color Of Change supporters, working alongside Sybrina Fulton, the mother of Trayvon Martin, the two major insurance companies underwriting Carry Guard, Chubb and Lockton Affinity, recently announced that they are dropping the NRA’s murder insurance program. But as more global corporations are backing away from the NRA, FedEx doubled down and are standing by their NRA shipping discount.

FedEx was #58 on the Fortune 500 list of companies in 2016, with revenues exceeding $50 billion. They have enormous economic power in America, and they can send a clear message to the NRA: American businesses don’t support your extreme agenda, and we won’t accept your blood money!

Color Of Change is the nation’s largest online racial justice organization. We help people respond effectively to injustice in the world around us. As a national online force driven by over one million members, we move decision-makers in corporations and government to create a more human and less hostile world for Black people in America.

Guns Down is fighting back against the National Rifle Association and the gun lobby with the simple premise that our communities are safer with fewer guns. If we’re serious about saving lives, we need to build a bolder, broader movement that finally tackles the problem at its core.
